If its an actual documentary type show dealing with road building and maintenance, associated hazards , accidents and recoveries, and something about the
actual history of the oil fields and Prudhoe Bay and the North Slope, I'll tune in.
I know!! I know!! It's OP and I'm asking for alot. I watched the pormos on the HC and I expect it will all be about Hugh driving 25 hours a day and becoming "king" of the Dalton Highway. If this is indeed what it is, I'll stop for few minutes while I'm channel surfing but that about all. |

I wasn't sure it the series had started yet or not, on your HC. Here in Canader eh, we've only just seen season one.

I definitely intend to watch it if for no other reason it is a road I have traveled as far as Coldfoot. I would surely like to see more of the country side
rather than the inside of a cab all the time, but with OP it is all about the truckers. So I will watch it, and enjoy the good parts and discount the Pelosi.

I have my calendar marked. We don't plan to be on the road that weekend so I hope I catch it.

I was going to say why hunt for one when live the style, but I guess you are out of tornado country now, or do you have your own personal?

There are tornadoes every where you go, but my life isn't one right now thank goodness. I am just going along for the ride.

Sled- we have Tornadoes in the land of Sunshine- just imbedded in hurricanes and shrouded in rain storms so you don't know they are coming!
BTW my neighbors driveway was almost washed away the other day by the culvert that the city's streets and drains are supposed to fix. The culvert drain tube runs under my house also. Poor guys next door have been on the city for the past two years to fix. " Build a Better Jacksonville!"

Ice - I am glad you are able to enjoy that show. Let me ask you what attracts you to that show??? On the note of  and where they strike. It is basically taking a map and throwing a dart at it. That is the chance anyone can get one.

find enough American drivers that were experienced to drive ice?

My house is in the line of fire for eminant domain if they build the high speed bus lane over pass to the Roosevelt Bus stop at the college. After June 8th when I file bankruptcy- my mortgage comapny/legalized loan sharks can sell my house to some other poor smuck and they will have to deal with losing 30 ft of the property or have a front door view of a buslane ramp over pass. It's going to be an easy sale and they will get their profit back! Same Truck, Different Day... |

There are many drivers that do the Haul Road year 'round, everything from big rigs to fuel trucks to supply the locals from Fairbanks to Deadhorse. Snow
plow drivers that keep the road open and truckers that get swept away by avalanch. There are many white crosses along the road where truckers have died. The
Coldfoot Services is filled with photos of trucks that didn't make it.
