Super 10 is after my time. Ya split each gear instead of a range shift as in the old 10's?

No- I think she got cold feet of the emotional kind- Speedbump. She said that when she came back in Oct. she was unemployed and hated the fact that Michigan
was in such a slump of economics. She had a farm and young adult daughter living at home to watch the horses.

Maybe Alex had a truck with unseen problems. I drove one that was going into the shop and the clutch was so screwed up. I stopped traffic on I-20/59 in
Birmingham with the clutch screwed up like that. The guy that was bringing it in was in the jump seat laughing at me.. maybe he screwed it up.

While at the stoplight would have been a good time to unload some excess weight.

Finally had a chance to watch the first episode last night and I must agree the HC does a piss poor job putting stuff together. There are some really good
stories together but they seem to grab multiple snippets from everywhere and skip the real meat of the road. I did enjoy seeing some familiar places though
such as the Roller Coaster. When we passed through it had been raining for two weeks but had cleared for us. Going down seemed ok but the upgrade was like
driving through thick bread dough. Staying in the ruts wasn't the best at times because they were pretty deep. Traction was iffy at times and I had visions
of having to chain up. I dreaded the thought that chains could dig me deeper rather than move forward. Haven't seen another area yet, long right curving
downgrade with a narrow bridge at the bottom, the upgrade had a long left curve for me where I had a rig haulling ass south bound. Needless to say I pulled
over and stopped to give him all the room he wanted. Really apprecieated the CB to let others know I eyeballed them and announced my intentions. I think some
of them were shocked that a tourist respected them.

Say what you like about the HC programming I learned a lot from the scenary. Came in the house a while ago and spotted the last couple of minutes of scene on
the TV with two motorcyclists on and ice road I recognized as the one to Tuk. Seemed they spent twenty-four hours from somewhere and just arrived in Tuk. Nary
a truck in sight so don't know when it was filmed. All I saw was the two bikes balls to the wall wide open. I could just visualize one of them getting
sideways and becoming a hocky puk.

Hogcaller, it is a deadly road, just count the roadside crosses and see the tribute to the dead drivers in the Coldfoot stop. I think it could be a tossup
which is worse, winter or summer. Wet summer roads and mud can be slicker than ice in spots.

Sled no doubt that it is a nasty road, lord knows I'm not brave enough to drive it., But our buddy just has to make a race out of everything.

I think the racing aspect must be fictional dialog, you race on that road you die. Sure, there are some spots to build up some serious speed but not enough to
make up a lot of time. The only speed I can think of would involve sleep deprivation to turn and burn. I was surprised at Alex's flat tire last night and
no repair in Coldfoot unless the shop is seasonal and closes in winter. The tin building to the right of the resaurant is a fairly large shop. Other than the
hoists, heavy jacks and tools it was wall to wall tires when I saw it. One feature of the summer Dalton is the sharp cornered rocks that take a high toll on
tires. Could be there are not enough flat tires in the winter.

I would. Make a happy driver, have a happy employee, get the load there in one piece, and my employee isn't a popsicle the next time I see them. Of course
the very next time they pull into a yard I would pop the truck for a DOT inspection right then and there. Busted tires can cause unknown damage, and would
doubley make sure all tires were within specs.

I would to speed, I've done it before. Blew a cap on the trailer about 2 miles form the scale. Ripped the mud flap tore out the wires for the lights, got
the tire fixed then drove to the scale, yep no lights no mud flap, oops, the inspector was soooooo happy to see me

I bet he was. We had to change out a hanging mudflap once before we reached the scale. Didn't really have time to stop, one of those JIT loads. So we
pulled straight into a pickle park, and it was 7 minutes from the time we pulled the brake to the time we hit it. Team work!!!
